Customs Reshipment Cover
An optional add-on at checkout: 10% of the items subtotal, minimum $30 buys one re-shipment of the same order, shipping included, if customs seizes it.
Why it exists
International parcels are occasionally held, seized or destroyed by customs at destination. You are the importer of record, so without cover that loss is yours: the parcel is not re-shipped and not refunded. The cover lets you decide, per order, whether to protect against that risk for a fixed fee.
What it costs
10% of the items subtotal, before any coupon or credit, with a minimum of $30.00 per order. Shipping is not included in the base. The minimum exists because a re-shipment always costs a full parcel of freight, however small the order. The exact amount is shown next to the checkbox in the cart and at checkout.
| Items subtotal | Cover | If customs seizes the parcel |
|---|---|---|
| $200.00 | $30.00 | The same items are sent again once, shipping included |
| $500.00 | $50.00 | The same items are sent again once, shipping included |
| $1,000.00 | $100.00 | The same items are sent again once, shipping included |
| $3,000.00 | $300.00 | The same items are sent again once, shipping included |
How it works
- 1. Add it before you order. Tick the box in the cart or at checkout. It cannot be added after the order is placed.
- 2. If customs seizes the parcel, open a shipping case from your order page and attach the customs notice or a screenshot of the carrier tracking status showing the seizure or destruction.
- 3. We re-ship the same order once, to an address in the same country, with shipping included. You will see the new tracking on the same order page.
What it does not cover
- • A second seizure of the re-shipped parcel.
- • Loss or damage in transit that is not a customs action (reviewed separately with carrier evidence).
- • An incorrect address, a refused or uncollected parcel, or not responding to customs requests.
- • Refunds: the cover provides a re-shipment, not money back.
Should I add it?
If you have shipped to your country before without customs problems, you may not need it. If the route is new to you, the order is large, or your destination is known for stricter inspections, the cover turns an uncertain loss into a fixed, known cost. Either way, the choice is yours and is recorded on the Proforma Invoice.
